http://bostnet.blogspot.com/2009/06/bostnet-summer-series.html

Science at the Core. Science Literacy for All Americans-Our Future Depends on It. Happy Birthday Carl Sagan! November 9, 2011. In the early days of my teaching career working in a rural middle school classroom I used to show my students segments from Carl Sagan’s Cosmos series. It was always a stretch for me to teach astronomy to my eighth grade students. How do you teach them about phenomena like the doppler effect when you teach from a textbook and in a portable? Cognitive Informalist: Sphere and Me
http://cognitive-informalist.blogspot.com/2011/11/sphere-and-me.html
About learning, playing, games, toys, and media. Tuesday, November 29, 2011. I went through a phase about my freshman year of high school where my career choices were changing weekly. I read Jurassic Park. And wanted to be a mathematician and study chaos theory like Ian Malcolm. I went to the zoo and decided I should design the habitats that zoo animals live in. But then I read Sphere. And everything clicked into place. This was such a revelation to me. Having spent most of my life as a working class...

About learning, playing, games, toys, and media. Friday, August 27, 2010. TV Fandom and Participatory Media. The International Conference for the Learning Sciences was held here in Chicago this summer. Much higher signal:noise ration than AERA, NARST, SRCD, or NAGC. A student of Constance Steinkuehler's who is now a professor at Miami University.
