Graham Hart is the Chairman of Graham Hart (Process Technology) Ltd, a company he founded over forty five years ago. Standards are becoming an increasing part of the life of every engineer concerned with heat exchanges or fired heaters. We therefore felt it useful provide information on standards in the context of how it affects hts. Members in the UK. This is a changing area and the following articles will be updated from time to time. Acting as project leaders for 4 out of the 5 documents. Two have recently been published and three more will follow over the next year or so. The current standards in this area are.

About the UK Heat Transfer Society

The Society was founded in 1964 by a small group of heat transfer engineers working in London. They represented the major UK contracting and manufacturing companies and the early meetings were of a purely social nature. They soon began to discuss work and their heat transfer problems, and started technical forum presentations on a wide range of topical subjects. An executive committee was formed a year later with a Chairman and a President (elected annually).

The committee members are elected each year at the Annual General Meeting in March. Members can stand for re-election each year. New committee members are always welcome. We meet every two months of so, usually in London, to discuss all aspects of the Society. The Society does not have a secretariat so hts.
