Teaching on the River. October 3, 2015. The windless summer seemed to turn overnight into cold, blustery, gusty days. This week began with shorts and tank tops and is ending with three pairs of pants and four sweaters. Tea consumption has skyrocketed and no one even mentions the frozen yogurt place, even though we are in Poughkeepsie. Teaching on the River. Summer of Youth Empowerment. August 22, 2015. The last month of July and the first month of August hosted the Clearwater’s Youth Empowerment Programs. One exciting part of this year has been our collaboration with the Achievement First Charter Network. Shania and Joia breaking silence. Corey hauling on the peak halyard. A RUNNING ACCOUNT OF LIFE ALONG THE HUDSON RIVER. Human Leg Found Floating Near 79th Street Boat Basin. July 2, 2017. A leg was pulled out of the Hudson River yesterday after a jogger spotted it floating near the 79th Street Boat Basin around 12:30 pm. I shot the above video while biking past the spot around 3:00 as a medical examiner took it out of a red plastic bag surrounded by a 12-person crime unit. The leg appeared to have lesions. Friends reportedly believe both remains belong to Jenny Londono.
