The trip came about during the afternoon tea celebrations for my Dad's 80th Birthday. My sister Lee commented that she and her daughter Amy, were going to visit my sister Deb in Melbourne. Sunday, December 30, 2012. The first half of 2012 in review. I know I have been a bit slack on the postings this last couple of months. I blame the discovery of Instagram. Tuesday, October 02, 2012. I have made the decision not to do the daily photo for October because it will be too hard for a couple of reasons. 1 I am travelling (yep - just have to remind everyone that I am off overseas again! 2 Blogger unfortunately does not make it easy to upload photos from an iPad. So I will resume my daily pictures in November. So to add some colour to today's post, here are a couple of photos I took at a recent trip to Araluen with our local photography club. Sunday, January 22, 2012. I have been practicing my machine quilting, following along with Leah Day's blog The Freemotion Quilting Project. The first project I did was a huge learning curve. In Leah's words, I quilted "the snot" out of this quilt. I started doing a bubble pattern and did it on a very small scale which meant the rest of the quilt had to be quilted on a similar scale. I do love the finished product but boy! Detail of the quilting - it is quilted about 1/8 to 1/4" apart! Links to this post.

Saturday, December 05, 2009. I knew it had been a while since I posted but JULY! Wow My friend Nann has prompted me to post as she had her 2nd blogaversary recently and it co-incided with her 100th post! And thanks for the kick up the butt! Saturday, September 29, 2012. Today's topic is "Errand". I didn't have to go out anywhere today and as most of what I was doing today I class as chores, not errands, I was wondering what I was going post. I have spent the morning in the kitchen cooking up a storm for lunch guests. They have just left. I pulled the Lasagne rolls out of the oven just as the cyclists walked in the door after their ride. A very entertaining afternoon ensued and not one word about football until it was time for the guests...

Monday, October 31, 2011. Tomorrow I am 50 years old. I don't know how I feel about that but we will see! Yesterday, I went to my friend Hetty's for the afternoon as per usual.
