Every 'better' day is an achievement. Today was a better day. I didn't freak out. I got through it, and did well. One step at a time. One moment at a time. The point really is that re-opening of the wound, whether your grief or the horse, is how it will heal in a healthy manner. It may be difficult at the time but worth it in the end.
