This is a photo blog of Tokyo. March 24, 2012. Statue of Sugawara Michizane. This statue stands in Kameido Tenjin. Kameido Tenjin is a Shinto shrine dedicated to Sugawara Michizane (845-903) who was a great scholar, poet, also politician. This statue is 5-year-old Sugawara Michizane. A poem he composed at the age of 5 is carved on the base of the statue. These photos were taken on March 12 , 2012. March 21, 2012. Sky Tree and Ume Blossoms.
