Monday, July 21, 2008. Please make sure your child has his/her life jacket for each swim class they have this week. One of your child's classes will be devoted to age appropriate life jacket skills. Please be ready for it every day although we will only devote one class this week to it. Every class will be doing this, from Beginner 1 to Advanced Swimmers. This is always a fun activity! Wednesday, July 30, 2008. THE OLYMPICS ARE COMING TO HYC! As the world awaits the opening ceremonies in China next week, we will be having our own Olympics here at the club. On FRIDAY, AUGUST 1, we will be having our OPENING CEREMONIES AT 3:00 FOLLOWED BY A SCAVENGER HUNT. Next week during one of your child's swimming and sailing classes they will be having swimming and sailing Olympic events. Scores will be kept for the classes and totaled for each team. Thanks to the HYC families (Meade, Tocowitz, Cervin, Smith, Conroy, O'Brien) that have helped to house sailors from visiting yacht clubs this summer. It is nice for the parents to know that their children are in homes instead of hotels! Having said that, we have ONE MORE REQUEST - and it is a biggie! This request is only for floor space (bed is great, but not necessary) and a ride to/from Stage Harbor each day. HYC Youth Program Blog.

Tuesday, August 11, 2009. We are not done yet! Next week at the club:. 8226; Tuesday, August 18th. HYC Annual Nauset Beach Day. Meet on the beach off of the southern end of the parking lot! We get there early and stay til late afternoon. 8226; Wednesday, August 19th. HYC Race Team Night. Last Race will not start after 6:30pm. Pizza and whiffle ball afterwards. Pick up at 8pm. 420 Race Team, Opti Race Team, and a special invite to Green Fleet Sailors that sailed in 2 to 3 regattas this summer!
