Clinical evaluations of a comprehensive range of inhaler systems, e.g. pMDI, DPI, nebulisers (air-jet, ultrasonic, and vibrating mesh) and novel delivery systems are routinely performed. Scintigraphic imaging has also been combined with pharmacokinetic analysis to provide a more powerful understanding of the link between the in vivo deposition and fate of dosage forms and the ensuing drug bioavailability.
