When we look at the statistics in the US, the poverty rate for African Americans is more than two and a half times. That of Caucasians, that 2.2 percent of their population. Is incarcerated – that’s almost 6 times that of their fair skin counterparts, and the homicide rate of 18-25 year old African American males is the highest of any racial group.
