Because it's been a while. Wednesday, May 15, 2013. Location: Perth WA, Australia. Fire Breathers and Poi Masters. While on our way to a 60's Motown dance night, my friend and I stopped to admire some street performers. I love the way the artificial blue light clashes with the raw orange/fierce yellow of the fire. And so, with my camera strapped around me (as usual) my friend told me to take some snaps. The Cultural Centre of Perth is going Oriental in their spectacular Night Noodle Markets! Make sure to come as early as 5:00pm if you want to snag the best spots in line. Highlights include Hoy Pinoy's stall (the satay aroma was tantalizing and made lines stretch all the way from around the corner and out of the market entrace) and the makeshift pop-up Yalumba bar. Apparently constructed from a used ship container! At the heart of the cultural centre. The Night Noodle Markets run from March 18 - 29.

This place is literally hidden in an intersection of two alleyways. It's one of Perth's best kept secrets in my opinion, as this place seems to attract its loyal customers only by word of mouth. It certainly deserves more recognition though - their sandwich concoctions, though a bit pricey, are unlike anything anywhere else, while their selection of beverages and fresh coffees and teas were absolutely refreshing! Petronas Twin Towers - Kuala Lumpur. Hazy days didn't stop us from visiting KL's architectural pride - the Petronas Twin Towers. I can't believe I lived in that city for thirteen years and never photographed it up close. Perhaps I needed to feel like a tourist (me with my big camera and backpack) to get my snap-happy groove on. So on my recent trip back, giving the place a proper visit and 'photoshoot' was an absolute must. F you ever visit Kuala Lumpur, this is one sight you cannot miss. For a free quote.
