So goes the British Royal Navy Recruitment advert Changing Parts for new engineers. It’s difficult to understand gyroscopic motion on a helicopter but you can show its effect using a bike wheel without going into Euler’s Equations and moments of momentum. A bike and a helicopter are not the same, but they have similarities. Happy and we know it.
