Es Una Adventura...: January 2012
http://shellyinxela.blogspot.com/2012_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 4, 2012. This Christmas I enjoyed spending time with all my "families." :). Alejandro and me on Christmas Eve, just before opening presents. (Christmas Eve is a BIG deal in Guatemala.). And after the presents, everyone gets to play with fireworks at midnight, even the littlest ones! This is a pic of Gaby (2) with a sparkler in hand. If only this picture showed the fear I saw in her face. Haha. :). The stockings and group gifts all ready for the kids at the Home on Christmas morning.

Es Una Adventura...: February 2011
http://shellyinxela.blogspot.com/2011_02_01_archive.html
Thursday, February 3, 2011. Please forgive the long break in posts. I have been awfully sick over the last couple weeks, and it's been all I could do just to make it through a full day at school. I started on a medicine this week, but it doesn't seem to be doing the trick. Please pray for complete healing. I will catch up on posts as soon as I am well again. Also, if you receive my monthly newsletters, please excuse that coming late as well. So sorry. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Well, my life is about to change drastically once again and once again, I am going to be loading up my house and traveling down the interstate. I dearly love teaching, but have found my self toying with the idea of another type of career.and after much prayer and many sleepless nights, I am taking the plunge. To where/what you might ask? So, y'all say a little prayer that the thing between my ears still works!

Missions – Prince of Peace House of Prayer
http://pophop.org/missions
It is the mandate of Prince of Peace Church to be a cutting edge ministry in the work of missions next door and around the world. We are. To keep at the forefront the Biblical command to go into the entire world and to all the peoples asking the Lord to bring them into His kingdom. To go to the nations, whether that is through physical on-site missionary ministry or through provisional ministry to missionaries already stationed in foreign lands. Texas Apostolic Prayer Network. http://randikjohnson.blogspot.com/2007_08_01_archive.html
Monday, August 20, 2007. Reflecting back on the past week's activities, I can see how we are finally starting to develop a routine, and for that, I am finally starting to feel like I live here and am not just visiting. Tuesday, August 14, 2007. Yes, wow is definitely the word of the day, or really, the week. I have been in Xela for 9 days now, incredible to write that seeing as I feel as if it's been about 9 weeks (maybe a little exaggeration). Many things have happened in this first week:. My house mom ...

Wednesday, December 19, 2007. End, Semester 1. Today is the last day of finals for this semester. Tomorrow night I will be in Nashville! The past two days have been crazy busy, full of last minute Christmas present shopping, packing (last night starting at 8pm), and grading finals in order to turn in grades before I leave school this morning. Looking back I cannot believe that one semester is already over! Sunday, December 2, 2007. Dia de Accion de Gracias. We literally relaxed, swam in the ocean, boogie...
