Thursday, August 18, 2011. A reminder to self. Build yourself riches in heaven, not riches on earth for all these will pass away. In anything, there will always be someone better than you and someone worse off than you - and time changes things. Life is a gift, not a right (Lee 2009). Sunday, October 14, 2012. I don't know if it's caffeine keeping me up, or if it's the excitement of discovering my potential ambition for post-graduation. All I know is that it's past 3am and I need to be bright and fresh in less than 6 hours to play and sing at Mass. I'm also very thankful for the internet because it is truly a powerful media connecting people across time and space. I sound like a pompous robot. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Thursday, December 1, 2011. To remain a child before God means to recognize our nothingness, to expect everything from God. It is not to become discouraged over our failings, for children fall often, but they are too little to hurt themselves very much". St Therese of Liseux. Even I have different concept of God and children, I still can get the essence. (By just tune the word children to servant). =). It is beautiful when we contemplate the Greatness of God. Friday, July 13, 2012. The club in which the people meet tomorrow believes that. Not only is it true that “the early bird may get the worm, but it is the second mouse that gets the cheese”. It is also true that. The early bird gets the worm, but the early worm gets eaten" (Quinn 2012). Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The 3 Elements of Inner Confidence. Sunday, January 8, 2012. Here's to 2011 and hello there to 2012! 2011 brought many blessings, many experiences, some pleasant, others not so, but through it all, we grew as always. Grew in self-knowledge, understanding, and love. Handle my personal responsibilities better so that I may be at peace and more available for others. Accept others as they are, not the romanticized version of them in my mind, and let others learn to accept me. St Therese of Lisieux once wrote:. I like that,. Genuine Condition M...

Sunday, June 17, 2012. Perfectionism or plain indulgence, I abhor thee. It's usually starting it that's the hardest for me. I'm here to whine, as though manifesting my thoughts online where others may come across them may bring me some consolation and drive to perform as I say I will. I love writing about Somalia. I love research essays. I love doing work when back at home with family. I love and thrive working under pressure. Care a lot about what others think, I do not! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Friday, October 21, 2011. I now subscribe to Kaizen. This is the aftermath of cramming for a 3rd year course midterm and discovering that such an act will never bear much fruit. I am going to be the most motivated student EVER. I WILL LEARN FROM THIS. YOU ARE MY WITNESS. Pearl of wisdom from Fatima: Food can be saved, but not work. Thursday, September 29, 2011. Mr L, you are SICK if you derive pleasure in retelling the rape of Nanking. Wednesday, September 14, 2011. Take what belongs to you and go. We did Lectio Divina in our first House meeting tonight. It involves reading a part of Scripture slowly, at least twice, and meditating on any part of the passage that sticks with you. Tonight's reading was from Matthew's Gospel: the parable of workers receiving the same wage no matter how long they've worked in the vineyard. Let Your ki...
