Lots of Big Ideas: April 2005
http://lotsofbigideas.blogspot.com/2005_04_01_archive.html
Friday, April 29, 2005. Some interesting (and often depressing) debate going on at www.notapathetic.com. This is a site where you can record your reasons, either ideological or practical, why you're not going to vote on May 5. Immigration and asylum policy is clearly one of the issues (if not the key issue) over which people are feeling alienated, enraged or confused, which just illustrates how badly we need a more reasoned and fact-driven debate. Politicians, mind your language. Thursday, April 28, 2005.

Lots of Big Ideas: Politicians by Tim Malmo
http://lotsofbigideas.blogspot.com/2006/11/politicians-by-tim-malmo.html
Politicians by Tim Malmo. Are they always right? That's not human anyway! Or think about this. We vote them to respresent us (just like the Americains did about twice in favour of Bush). That's because we trust them, isn't? Perhaps it is time for us to start considering that by endorsing a politician, one does endorse not only his policy (oh I forgot, maybe his looks too) but his rubbish and stubborn mistakes as well. In the name of fairness. Or what do you think? Raquo; Post a Comment. Persian Students ...

Lots of Big Ideas: Two beautiful stories by Aziz

Two beautiful stories by Aziz. I love Aziz's writing. He creates wonderful blends of the folktales and story-telling traditions of his native Sudan with a wry sense of humour and a passion for justice. Read two new short stories by Aziz here. Lots of Big Ideas: Crimson moon
http://lotsofbigideas.blogspot.com/2007/03/crimson-moon.html
I've just been looking out of the little window in the roof above my desk, here in North Yorkshire. The sky is full of stars. and there is a beautiful moon, like a perfectly round pearl, turning from pink to red. And I'm thinking that here on the night side of the earth there must be millions of people who have stopped whatever they are doing just to look up at this eclipsed moon. In Iran it's called mah; in China it is yuet; and in Tutsi it is mwezi. Raquo; Post a Comment. About Lots Of Big Ideas. Two b...
