Friday, 17 April 2015. Posted by Jemima Parry-Jones MBE. And STILL glorious weather! The place is looking lovely, the daffodils are nearly over although my second favourites (the wild ones are my first favourites) which are some incredibly sweet smelling narcissus and are always last. If I put some in a vase they scent the whole room which is wonderful. But they threw it out! Oh and the Barbary Falcons have four eggs that are fertile. The centre van is not well, the gear box is going and something else a...

Thursday, 5 March 2015. Posted by Jemima Parry-Jones MBE. An Owl outside in the woods, not in. A Bar in London. Well I had a lovely email from a lady who was a professional singing teacher (I wish she lived closer) and she gave me some advice on how to get back control of my vocal chords - I have been practising in the Land Rover which is a good place to start and I think she is right - thank you very much Marian. Holly put two wooden eggs in the nest to encourage the kite. Start sitting and look! Variou...

Sunday, 19 October 2014. Posted by Jemima Parry-Jones MBE. The first young bred in Nepal. However we got most things done, and that in not particularly good weather, I think it rained in West Bengal, Assam and Nepal! New tractor shed and Jimmi pretending its all his own work! All the new birds are going well, some have left us for new homes and the rest are going to join the official team. The Brahminy Kite Zephyr is now fishing on the pond which is very exciting, a great chance of wonderful photos!

Saturday, 21 February 2015. Posted by Jemima Parry-Jones MBE. I think one of the saddest and most frustrating things about me personally getting old is that my singing voice is no longer what it was. It was never as good as I would have hoped, I always wanted to be a soloist opera singer and singing was very important to me. In reality my voice was never good enough and my disposition was too nervous to sing publically (believe it or not! Spring is on the way! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Well our...

Friday, 19 June 2015. Posted by Jemima Parry-Jones MBE. Yorkley new, very beautiful Great Horned Owl up his first tree! I have a new computer, I know I will get to like it, but the nightmare is always the same with a change of computers. Because things have changed I can't find a damn thing and because we get later up to date versions of programmes, which the software people have improved (I use that term very loosely) half of the bloody stuff. Hummmmmmmmm I feel better now! Not a normal chick for us!

Monday, 29 December 2014. Posted by Jemima Parry-Jones MBE. While I am mentioning television just how many times has Back to the Future been shown on TV, it must be even more times than the Harry Potter films. Good Lord there must be more films to show us! It was pretty cold last night and this morning the weather forecasters were bemoaning the fact that it. The birds are well, the daffodils are showing a inch of leaves as are the snowdrop, although the frosts may slow them up. New Year approaches! I loo...

Thursday, 6 August 2015. Posted by Jemima Parry-Jones MBE. And now it is August, my Sparrowhawk, still nameless, but I think I know which village name I am going to choose, is flying on demonstration. Not rivetingly exciting but good for him and gives me the chance to be rude about Robin Page! We are back on getting the house roof re done, Mike and Conor are working hard and the first bit. That will be the day! The bookings for the Falconry Weekend are filling up, if the weather holds it will be an excit...
