The 7th International Conference on Flood Management (ICFM7) seeks to further advance global research, practice and policy in flood management. With an emphasis on ‘resilience’, the theme for ICFM7 marks the further progress of integrated approaches to flood management which were first embraced as the International Symposia on Flood Defence (Kassel 2000, Beijing 2002, Nijmegen 2005.
