Life to the Lees. I cannot rest from travel: I will drink Life to the lees: - Tennyson. Thursday, May 30, 2013. A Clean, Well Lighted Place. These days I’m thinking much more than I’m writing, and in my head I’m sweeping the floor of the café in Hemingway’s short A Clean Well-Lighted Place.
