We had 4 great students from Anchorage, Colorado, Canada and Germany and did get one night with -10°C so they could test their sleeping bags. Bill made us some great trails to ride and push our bikes. All 4 students graduated from the camp and 3 are on the starting list for the 2015 event. Winter of 2014 presented us with lack of snow, warm temps and rainy periods throughout the winter followed with a freeze-up before the race and hard packed trails as well as a dirt paths during the event. The course was ride-able for bikes and hard for runners for nearly the entire length of 1000 miles from Knik to Nome. 2013 was a fast year with new records. Bike 350 mile winner - 2 days 4 hours 43 minutes.
