Passivation is the treatment of stainless steels to improve their corrosion resistance. Electropolisihing

Electropolishing is an electrochemical process for stainless steel and aluminum which etches off microscopic high spots to smooth the surface. This is accomplished by immersing a stainless steel or aluminum part, fixtured on a conductive rack, into an acid based electrolyte. When DC power is passed through the positively charged part, the surface metal is smoothed and polished. This process will also burn off small burrs and passivate stainless steels. Reduces RMS by 50%. Largest Piece 5' x 2' x 3'.

Torstai 13. elokuuta 2015. Jos joskus pimeässä yksin seison, ja liekki sammunut ja kylmä on. En tiedä voiko sitä eloon saada, kukaan toinen. Eilen päätin aivan extempore pakata treenikassin, napata koiran ja suunnata seuramme epiksiin. Kisapaikalle päästyä ja Seran päästettyä pahimmat höyryt fiilis oli silti hyvä, vaikka alkuun kovin epäileväinen olinkin! Me ei onneksi taideta sinne mennessä ihan kisavalmiita olla. :D.
