Babbling Brooke: March 2012
http://babblingbrooketrout.blogspot.com/2012_03_01_archive.html
Monday, March 26, 2012. I’m all for women’s empowerment, trust me. I grew up with a very liberal mother who I’m sure burned a bra or two at a demonstrations in the 60s. Some of her women’s lib-ness may just have rubbed off on me. (I remember even having a Rosie the Riveter postcard with the “We Can Do It” slogan hanging in my locker in high school). So I ask the question, is chivalry dying a slow death? One example of chivalry still be alive and well and another example of chivalry dying a slow death....

Babbling Brooke: January 2014

Tuesday, January 21, 2014. Hello, My Long Lost Friend. Whoa, is that the smell of Pledge again? Things have gotten rather dusty around these parts. Life happens. Blogging took a back seat, then was completely booted from my moving vehicle. Let’s catch up on a few things:. I miss blogging. Every so often, I find myself drafting posts in my head, although I haven’t written here in ages. (Who knows, maybe I’ll spark things up again on a regular basis.). That about sums it up! Now that the dust bunnies are r...

Babbling Brooke: May 2012

Monday, May 21, 2012. Another Post on Running - With Lists. This past weekend, I finished up Week 5 of my training schedule. I'm working on a 15 week schedule for running another half marathon in July. It will be my fourth "official" half marathon. Whenever The Little One sees my Nike running shirts, she touches the Swoosh and says "Airplane! Not sure why she thinks it's an airplane, but it's cute. A little history for my own records. Babbling Brooke: August 2012

Wednesday, August 29, 2012. Not Your Typical Hallmark. I remember first getting on the some ecards site many years ago. The cards made me giggle then, and it's sad to say that I still find the sick humor of these electronic cards rather humorous, even when I see one on practically every other post on Facebook. One day when I'm old and gray and Facebook is a thing of the past like vinyl records, I will likely say, "Remember those eCards? Man, that was some funny sh! What are some of your favorites? Meet Q...

Sunday, January 29, 2012. Ready for Princess Tea Party. I can't believe my oldest is going to be turning five. It truly is hard to believe. I do feel that I just blinked and had a baby in my arms and blinked again and have a feisty, spirited, independent girl in my midst. Who would have ever thought I would be up for a princess party? Let the pink prevail. Front of the card. Back of the card has all the when and where details.). Tuesday, January 17, 2012. Mark on the place. Before - Original 1940s Fabric.

Babbling Brooke: July 2012
http://babblingbrooketrout.blogspot.com/2012_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 16, 2012. Sometimes when I'm out on a run, I feel like I should pull my phone out and take snapshots of the random stuff I see along my routes. Sadly, I cannot share pictures because I did not take any pictures for a few reasons:. 1) I'm really not coordinated enough to run and take a picture at the same time. 2) The one time I tried, I learned that launching my camera app messed with the app that records my pace and distance. On another run, on a different road, I saw a discarded peanut but...

Babbling Brooke: April 2012
http://babblingbrooketrout.blogspot.com/2012_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 29, 2012. Bye, Bye Binky. To which an answer was emphatically returned "Noooooooo! I threw them away nonetheless while she watched me, she cried a bit, I gave her a sucker, and the rest is {hopefully} history. You are such a big girl! If someone asks her what happened to her pacifier, she says "Bye, bye." Then she fakes a cry and says "sucker". Smart little kid! Fingers crossed that we've made it through the rough part! I don't want to go back to the land of bink-binks! Sunday, April 1, 2012.

Babbling Brooke: Over the Shoulder Boulder Holder
http://babblingbrooketrout.blogspot.com/2012/09/over-shoulder-boulder-holder.html
Tuesday, September 4, 2012. Over the Shoulder Boulder Holder. I haven't purchased a proper in bra for myself in quite some time. I've been wearing older ones that are quite ill fitting. After two pregnancies and two plus years of breastfeeding and some extra weight still lingering, I knew it was time to go see the professionals. When my oldest was about two years old, I lost a lot of weight and was back to my pre-pregnancy bra size - even if my ta-tas were not the cute little perky things of the past.
