Two Pointy Sticks: January 2005
http://two_pointy_sticks.blogspot.com/2005_01_01_archive.html
Sunday, January 30, 2005. Greetings from our winter wonderland! Last night we got a few more inches of snow. Luckily, I don't have to go anywhere today since I'm working from home (yes, even on a Sunday, grrrr - but at least I can take a knitting break here and there). And while I'm here, here is a silk update:. I'm told by the spinnery that the shipment should arrive any day now, so - fingers crossed! I'll be able to take orders for silk. (Watch this space for developments! S very own Amy Singer. By way...

A cabled funnel neck zip henley to keep your neighbor's best friend's colleague's great-aunt's estate planner's brother's nephew's college friend's aristocratic roommate's jetset nomad cousin cozy and warm for three-quarters of the year ;). Monday, February 28, 2005. Bring On the Blizzard! Because yesterday I finished a second Seurat sweater. In aran weight cashmere, this time in colourway #33, Orion. This was actually made with two different Orion dye lots, but I think it turned out quite nicely regardless. Here it is, weathering the first flakes with all its bring-on-the-blizzard-baby! X-posted with the Cashmere Gallery. Have Fun, everyone! Posted by Axelle at 12:14 PM. Thursday, February 24, 2005. NOTE: For those of you who have been ask...

Two Pointy Sticks: December 2004
http://two_pointy_sticks.blogspot.com/2004_12_01_archive.html
Thursday, December 30, 2004. Eine Kleine Knit-post on the sly. This is another quickie post, as I'm up to my ears in work, whereas. back at the studio I have been up to my eyeballs in aran weight cashmere (which is, in my opinion, far far more pleasant than stacks of fine print):. Aren't those skeins just begging for a cuddle? She knows me too well. :). Happy New Year and Happy Knitting, everyone! That includes all of you who swing by and lurk). Posted by Axelle at 1:46 PM. Two Pointy Sticks: Recession Chic! and Molly Ringwald's Pretty In Pink Legacy
http://two_pointy_sticks.blogspot.com/2009/02/recession-chic-and-molly-ringwalds.html
Thursday, February 12, 2009. And Molly Ringwald's Pretty In Pink Legacy. Well, Fashion Week in Paris has come and gone. And let me tell you, there is nothing like seeing a whole slew of covetable items during a recession to make you really feel the pinch. Sigh. Being a scarf girl, one of the items I've seen-and-coveted around town was an absolutely gorgeous double-faced bi-material stole at Hermes (from A/W 08), one panel in cashmere jersey, the other in silk chiffon. Luxe luxe = uber-luxe. Genius, reall...

Two Pointy Sticks: November 2004

Monday, November 29, 2004. Quick Christmas Knit II. Right after I finished the cowl, I cast on to make this quickie corkscrew scarf. I followed Karen Baumer's great Multidirectional Scarf pattern. And added a frilly corkscrew fringe, one of the many useful things you can pick up from Nicky Epstein's Knitting On the Edge. Here's a close-up of the fringe. It makes me think of Goldilocks. and a bowl of fusilli pasta. And one for yourself. Naturally. ;). Posted by Axelle at 7:14 PM. Friday, November 26, 2004.

Two Pointy Sticks: Cabled Fez!
http://two_pointy_sticks.blogspot.com/2009/01/cabled-fez.html
Saturday, January 24, 2009. One of the luxuries of being a knitter is. being able to make something you want yourself. Without the wait. Having started the new year here. The first thing about alpine survival that I learned was: never ever underestimate the value of a warm hat! So upon return to the big city I thought I might stop in at this shop to see if they had any appealing bonnets. but this was the queue. Super warm, super light, and super easy! Until next time. stay warm! The Lost Art of Luxury.

Two Pointy Sticks: Break-up SOX
http://two_pointy_sticks.blogspot.com/2006/01/break-up-sox.html
Tuesday, January 24, 2006. Thanks to everyone who emailed asking to find out what happened in the new year's quest for Tori. Last weekend we had a long transatlantic catch-up session by phone that left me grinning for hours! With any luck, we'll be able to pull off a proper meet-up in the next few months. and squeeze in a bit of knitting, too, of course. If she breaks up with her beau-du-jour/semaine/mois. Warm toes, cold heart, I guess. And why not? So Much. The. Better. On a whim I started knitting a p...
