The Horns Kicked In: July 2009
http://thehornskickedin.blogspot.com/2009_07_01_archive.html
Come On Here, Let's Dance Together! This past weekend was the final weekend of July. That means normally uneventful Toyota City turns into a party! Kicked off on Saturday afternoon in the center of town, which happens to be where I live and work. I would have taken the day off if I had any idea what Oiden entailed, but I got to catch some of it on my breaks. The festivities started with a guy on a microphone leading the crowd in chanting, "We love Toyota! Better than the dude sleeping on my shoulder.

Richard Dawkins is a bigot. Tue, Nov 3, 2009. Recently I received an email from “Matt,” who sent me this link. Followed by these subsequent comments:. I hope that your site is devoted to exposing bigots of all persuasions. To cry bigotry when someone attacks atheists while ignoring the hateful remarks made by atheists about others seems, well … rather bigoted.). I pulled the link and read Dick. 8216;s tirade, and as much of a fan. 8216;s writings and wider work. As I am, I had to agree. Matt was right.

The Horns Kicked In: June 2009
http://thehornskickedin.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
Turn on the A/C you say? Not a bad idea, except if I allow myself to turn it on at night it will be on every night, racking up my electric bill to a point where paying it is more annoying than the birds. I suppose I can just turn it on sometimes, and leave the windows open other times, but it doesn't really work that way, does it? I've made a rule, designating July and August as the only A/C friendly months. Enjoy this likely unrelated quote:. Random Acts of Narcissism. Personal blogging is just straight...

The Horns Kicked In: It's a Date.
http://thehornskickedin.blogspot.com/2009/09/its-date.html
So date number two with Chieko was on Sunday. If you missed date number one. The idea was to use this date as a cover for what was really an attempt to get free fashion consulting. My wardrobe is severely limited here in Japan and I've found that my only natural sense of style can only be pulled off in Seattle circa 1994. And I'm hitting Tokyo soon. I understand why we chose this place. It was huge. Like five shopping malls stacked on top of one another. Everyone in Japan loves Mario! And some kind of mi...

The Horns Kicked In: 10 Things I Hate about Yule
http://thehornskickedin.blogspot.com/2009/12/10-things-i-hate-about-yule.html
10 Things I Hate about Yule. Stop it. I know you're thinking, "Here we go again. Guy and his atheism—of course he has to bash Christmas." You're so predictable. Before you get all twisted, notice that I wrote similar posts about Father's Day. 8212;two entirely secular holidays. And don't forget Halloween. Truth is I love Christmas. It's right up there somewhere below Thanksgiving in my book. But I love irony more. So here are my 10 things I hate about Christmas, in no particular order:. 8226; "Merry Chri...
