Musings from a bird who can't carry a tune! Monday, March 3, 2014. Art All Around Us. I do have some pics for you though. This first one was for fun. I'd bought the pears with the intention of drawing them prior to eating them but they were getting eaten first so I finally drew the last one before it was gone. These next two pictures are from my granddaughter's birthday. She loves animals so horseback riding was a great choice for her. Would you believe it costs $50 an hour per person? And lastly, I made...

Musings from a bird who can't carry a tune! Thursday, February 21, 2013. I Really Am Here. Hi everyone. I am still moving and don't have my scanner yet. I have done a tiny bit of creating and these photoessays are proof of it. Not a lot but hopefully once I am all settled I will create more regularly. The journal pages speak for themselves. I should have a lot more of them than I do. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Love sparkle and shine? Watercolor Painting with Laure Ferlita. Your fairy...

Musings from a bird who can't carry a tune! Monday, March 11, 2013. I finally have my scanner/printer at my new home so can upload pictures for my blog easier. I'd tried with my Iphone but last time I had to cancel my post as the pics didn't fit right. I'll get to those pics as soon as I update Iphotos on my computer. In the meantime I have scanned in what I did today. Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Love sparkle and shine? Watercolor Painting with Laure Ferlita. Take a look at this site!

Musings from a bird who can't carry a tune! Sunday, November 3, 2013. Ah, My Dog Biscuit. I wanted to do a quick sketch of Biscuit as I kept throwing his toy for him but my inner critic said I would ruin my journal if I put it straight in there so I used a sheet of printer paper. I know, I know, I shouldn't let that critic boss me around like that! Anyhow, I liked how it turned out so added some color. I still liked it so now I had to cut it up and collage it into a journal! One look and we were smitten&...

Musings from a bird who can't carry a tune! Tuesday, May 14, 2013. I decided to paint the flatware in my journal to remember his choice later on. I asked my husband to scan it in for me and he did - after he got the scanner working. It was being pretty stubborn being on wireless and my husband wasn't in the best of moods because when I tried using the disposal after dinner it made terrible noises and so to top everything off lately it seems we now need a new disposal! Musings from a bird who can't carry a tune! Saturday, December 7, 2013. Christmas Tree and A Poem. Hope you are all getting ready for Christmas but taking some time out for yourself. I was reminded to take a 20 minute breather today and it was lovely. Something I really needed. I was reminded by Jennifer Edwards. Who wrote the poem I put on my journal page. I'm sure you'll have fun coming up with your own version plus you'll feel much more in the holiday spirit afterwards too! Oh, the poem! Ill post abou...

Musings from a bird who can't carry a tune! Saturday, June 23, 2012. I only got the pencil sketch done before we were moving again but it helped to pass the time. I painted the picture this morning at home. By the way, I got to go pick up the kids because my daughter had another place to be in the evening. I stopped at Starbuck's to get my granddaughter who was my co-pilot and I a nice cold drink and figured on 70 minutes driving time. It took 76! One way, for the 35 miles! Links to this post. Musings from a bird who can't carry a tune! Friday, September 21, 2012. No Art But Still Busy. I am back in California helping my son this week and going up to my daughter's on Sunday so I can make my doctor's appointment on Monday. Then I will visit for a week before going home. I feel like I am rushing but I've been gone so much this summer and I need a bit more time at home. I just thought I'd share what I am up to even though it's not art! Links to this post. Musings from a bird who can't carry a tune! Saturday, January 12, 2013. Something New, Something Red. It's been a long time since I've done any art. I couldn't resist trying to put my new salt and pepper shakers on this background I had done previously. I don't think I made the colors pop enough but I am pleased with my wonky shakers and more pleased that I got something done! Links to this post. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Love sparkle and shine? Musings from a bird who can't carry a tune! Friday, January 31, 2014. Catching Up - Again! They have fresh French fries and make up the salads when you order one. She wanted their milkshake and French fries. After that it was a short ways down the coast to Carlsbad Beach where we stayed till the sun set. Then it felt chilly so we were ready to leave! And her new book Genevieve and the Kite. Do you see the kite way up towards the top of the building? I also had to pick out a frame with my daughter's help ...
