Two (Wannabe) Moms on a Journey to Parenthood. There’s something in there! While it’s pretty blurry and globular, there it is! As soon as they got the wand in, I saw it and its little heart beating away. Pretty much the most wonderful sight I’ve ever witnessed. So we spilled the beans very early with our chosen family (like, 4 weeks), but in the last week have finally told both sets of parents and my sister (still have to tell T’s siblings). Two (Wannabe) Moms on a Journey to Parenthood. 13 weeks 4 days. It’s been awhile since I’ve done a proper update! We are heading into the second trimester (or are already in it, depending on what you read) and things have been pretty good! On a more positive note, I have been able to find the baby’s heartbeat with more and more ease with the home Doppler, which is exciting and reassuring. It’s at about 160! Two (Wannabe) Moms on a Journey to Parenthood. First appt with our ob/gyn and I am so nervous! I have been pretty ok up until today (reminding myself of that little heartbeat that we got to see a few weeks back, and the good probability that it is still beating away). But damn if a missed miscarriage doesn’t make you completely and utterly the most paranoid pregnant person ever. Top that with not knowing at all what to expect today (ultrasound?
