Our First Major Purchase – imperfectly beautiful
https://imperfectlybeautifullife.wordpress.com/2014/10/27/our-first-major-purchase
October 27, 2014. September 8, 2016. Our First Major Purchase. I’m so happy it’s fall. It really is the best season – the weather is cooler, casseroles are now back in meal rotations and sweatshirts and blankets are again necessities. Plus, there’s college football. Yes, it was roasty in the stadium. We were pretty beat – but KState wasn’t (. See what I did there? Neither did this tailgate’s menu, with fajitas, black bean dip and lots of other goodness. March 2015 – imperfectly beautiful

Pack ‘Em Up, Move ‘Em Out. We’re finally closing in on moving day. Whew. Don’t get me wrong, I’m excited! I’m SO ready to be in our new home (. We got the keys today, so that’s not helping my patience level any. But, man. This time around, things didn’t find their way into boxes as well as they have in the past. It could be because this is the first time I’ve packed two people. Rather than just myself. You never know how much stuff (. You have until you are forced to put it in cardboard. This also develo...

December 16, 2014. September 8, 2016. 8230;We Did It Again. We’re moving. Again! For those of you keeping score at home, I’ve moved every year since I left “dorm life” in college (. After my sophomore year…. And Russ and I haven’t been in our current place a year, having moved in to our first apartment this. After some careful consideration and research, we decided another suburb was going to be home. So, come next. Spring, we’ll pack our lives up in boxes…again! Like, blink, boom, gone? I further unders...

The 2014 Pappas Annual Review – imperfectly beautiful
https://imperfectlybeautifullife.wordpress.com/2014/12/31/the-2014-pappas-annual-review
December 31, 2014. September 8, 2016. The 2014 Pappas Annual Review. Seasons Greetings, friends! This year was an eventful year for the Pappas clan! Mom and Dad spent quite a bit of time traveling, much to Sam’s dismay. February saw them making their annual trek to Palm Springs to escape the brutal Midwest winter; June took them (. And Kellyn…notice how they elected not to take their youngest – something about how I should save my PTO for my upcoming honeymoon. Mom loves to change things up. Then Buick 2...

The Meyers: More Recipes!
http://chrisandmarybethmeyer.blogspot.com/2013/02/more-recipes.html
Tuesday, February 12, 2013. For about six months, Chris and I have been trying to avoid eating out, especially fast food, whenever possible and it's been fantastic! We have eaten fast food once since Christmas and I can honestly say that even the thought of McDonalds kinda makes me want to throw up (which is crazy because I used to loooooooove it). We aren't quite ready to jump on the healthy-eating train, but we are trying to be smart about what we eat and trying to save money! We are counting down the ...

The Meyers: Chicken Marsala Pasta
http://chrisandmarybethmeyer.blogspot.com/2012/02/chicken-marsala-pasta.html
Monday, September 10, 2012. I absolutely LOVED this recipe. I wasn't sure how I was going to like it since I am obsessed with the traditional version of chicken marsala with mashed potatoes, but I was pleasantly surprised by how it turned out. It's a much lighter meal that traditional chicken marsala. Oh, and be sure to add yummy mushrooms - the original recipe didn't have them. I also have some fresh basil and parsley! From Taste of Home magazine. Delish Pesto Pasta with Chicken Marsala". 1 cup 2% milk.

Thursday, January 24, 2013. A Meyer Family Update! I haven't posted for three months.ha that's slightly embarassing. Oh well. A lot has happened since Addie's birthday (in October), so I will try to summarize what's been happening in a cohesive way! First of all, WE MOVED! Most of you probably already knew that, but Chris, Addie and I now live in the city of Windsor Heights. We absolutely LOVE it! And with interest rates extremely low, everyone got an amazing deal! She loves helping her daddy sweep!

The Meyers: Fun Times in the Kitchen
http://chrisandmarybethmeyer.blogspot.com/2010/10/fun-times-in-kitchen_13.html
Wednesday, October 13, 2010. Fun Times in the Kitchen. I love cooking. While I’m definitely not as good as my mom or mother-in-law, I really enjoy trying new recipes. Due to our schedules right now, Chris and I don’t get to cook as much as we’d like to. But this Sunday we decided to cook some new things throughout this week. I’ve made the chicken and wild rice soup before and I LOVE this recipe! It tastes a lot like the chicken and wild rice soup from Panera:. Creamy Chicken and Wild Rice Soup. 1/2 cup w...

The Meyers: Six Month Update
http://chrisandmarybethmeyer.blogspot.com/2013/09/six-month-update.html
Monday, September 16, 2013. Welp, I've hit a record of not blogging for six months. But instead of feeling like a failure, I'm just going to laugh and be okay with that. I've had plenty of time to write, post pictures, etc. I just haven't wanted to and that is okay. How many people read this thing anyways? I know I have one new reader today - shout out to my coworker, Kate! I'm totally blogging today because she sent me her blog. So here it goes! Poor thing fell onto a toy :(. And our last health scare w...

Imperfectly Beautiful | Like all things are…
Like all things are…. You know when you played racing games there were tracks with checkpoints? Usually you got extra time, more fuel to continue, some incentive to go on. I’ve felt that way about every age that I hit so far; so excited to be another year older and more excited for what’s to come. But recently, that excitement is being replaced by dread more than anything. You’re about to graduate university, what next? Do you even want to get to that particular milestone? November 16, 2016. One Year Going on Forever. August 15, 2015. One year ago. The first day of the rest of my life with the love of my life. Lovely chalk art done by Russ’ mom. Russ and I have been MARRIED FOR ONE YEAR! Crazy to think that just 12 months ago, we were beginning on this journey. How time flies! And so many memories. To give you a glimpse further into our first year of marriage, BOTH. Russ and I answered questions we either receive a lot from people or questions we thought you might enjoy. (. That no matter wh...

Thursday, September 23, 2010. Make Your Own Oilcloth Fabric. It all started with gorgeous piece of fabric from. It is from the Modern Meadow collection by Joel Dewberry, and I am in L.O.V.E with it! How could I pass them up? I used this iron on vinyl material by Heat n' Bond to laminate the fabric and it worked like a dream. I must admit, I was a bit skeptical.but it really worked! See how it looks glossy now? That's my new, made by me, oilcloth fabric ready to dress up my little coupon holder. I knew I ...
