The 10th anniversary of the Wheelchair Sports Spectacular takes place at the National Indoor Athletics Centre, Cardiff Metropolitan University, on Friday May 17 and Saturday May 18. New Disability Swimming Academy opens in the Vale. A new disability swimming academy has opened in the Vale of Glamorgan to find the next generation of Welsh Paralympians. The new academy, based at Barry Leisure Centre. Will provide top quality coaching and facilities for talented swimmers aged from 11 upwards. The aim is to give them the chance to compete in regional and national championships. The Vale disability swimming academy trains at Barry Leisure Centre every Wednesday between 6pm and 7.30pm.
