In 1992, Denzel Washington starred alongside the beautiful and talented Saritra Choudhury, in a modern day Romeo and Juliet style film about an Indian woman who falls in love with a black man. The romance of course caused quite the furor, but in 2007, is it still such a foreign concept for Hindu and non-Hindu to marry or even date? Viewpoints can vary from family to family, but it would seem that with arranged marriages happening with less frequency, that minds are changing.
