Capt Joe is a 2nd generation Florida native. Born and raised in East Orlando, he learned how to fish these area waters shortly after he learned to walk. He is hard working and easygoing. He started guiding professionally with a little, two-man John boat in 1996, and has worked his way up. Some of our clients still remember that old camouflaged boat. Capt Joe's charters are laid back, no pressure and NO yelling. Guiding expert to novice, he guarantees a great Lagoon experience.

Our skiff trips are run from a 17 Mitzi Skiff powered by a Yamaha 4 stroke engine. Our boat is quiet, quick, clean, and, with 6" of draft, no fish can hide. It is rigged for the Fly Fisherman, with a flush forward casting deck. Live bait to artificial lures, spin or fly, we do it all! Our live bait is guaranteed to catch fish or die tryin'. 1 person - 4 hours $300 / 6 hours $350. 2 people - 4 hours $350 / 6 hours $400. 3 people - 4 hours $450 / 6 hours $500. The Mosquito Lagoon is a beautiful, shallow water estuary with a barrier island bordering the east side and the mainland on the west. Part of the Merritt Island Wild Life Sanctuary. Looking for something to do nearby? Check out New Smyrna Beach. It is one of the few beaches along the East Coast on which you can still drive. If you make your way to the south end of New Smyrna Beach, take a look at Canaveral Seashore Park. If you're staying over night, we highly recommend the Night Swan Bed and Breakfast.

Thursday, May 23, 2013. Summer Bass Bite is Slow in Developing. Water temps are just starting to climb into the 60's and as a result the bass bite in southern Wisconsin is starting out a little slower. Weed growth on the Madison chain is minimal to this point.
