Infinite Ireland

Friday, 18 March 2011. An Gailge . thats Irish to the uninitiated. What I miss about home is. The Irish language. It used to drive us nuts in school; some of the teachers were great and others were more fanatical that good. I miss it now. Our office manager is Irish and sometimes we speak. Much to the consternation of our English workmates. It's handy at Christmas too when we want to talk in front of the kids about their presents, but they know the words for money and present now. Infinite Ireland: Hector Greys

Tuesday, 11 January 2011. What I miss about home is. A toy shop second to none. At least that was the way it was back in the day. Any trip into Dublin always included a visit to the shop. It was like an Alladin's cave, you never knew what treasures you might find in there. Do you remember a particular toy shop from your childhood? 11 January 2011 at 21:52. I used to spend ages in that place, especially in the 80s when home computing kicked off with the old ZX Spectrum and Commodore C64. All the best Noel.

Infinite Ireland: July 2010

http://infiniteireland.blogspot.com/2010_07_01_archive.html

Wednesday, 7 July 2010. What I miss about home is. The Obelisk is nestled in what is now a housing estate at the top of Carysfort Avenue leading into Blackrock. Designed by Edward Lovett Pearce, it was erected as a memorial to those who had perished in a famine in the early 1700's. I always wanted to climb up it, but never did. It is iconic and appears on the skyline as you walk to and from Stillorgan, Blackrock and the surrounding areas. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile.

Noel Hannan Photography: June 2012

http://noelhannanphotography.blogspot.com/2012_06_01_archive.html

Monday, 25 June 2012. When I was growing up in Dublin, it was a big treat to go to the movies. Back then, in the Seventies it was movies like Jaws, Star Wars, Enter The Dragon, the list could go on and on. that captured my attention. I was able to lose myself in the story, I would identify with the main character and always save the girl! I was always hooked by the fantastic posters! The colours, the way images blended into one another, amazing. Posted by Noel Hannan. Saturday, 16 June 2012. On one of th...

Monday, 30 July 2012. Shooting the Past. Part 2. Inspector Morse and Downton Abbey, this is what I thought when I first saw this Jaguar and the Rolls Royce. Another world. enjoy. I can imagine Inspector Morse driving through the streets of Oxford. I first saw the TV detective in the 80's and it portrayed to me what i thought was the quintessential English City; Oxford. The Rolls was even trickier, its all angles and chrome, but what a Lady! This car just screams Downton Abbey! Posted by Noel Hannan.

November 15, 2014. Source: http:/ nekozneko.deviantart.com/. Just had a friend post this on her facebook and I swear to god it is the most #KoolAid-Guzzling thing I have seen all week. So I had to respond. You just went full on Simmons with this one. Lvl 10 Simmons*. I understand the seriousness of the subject matter here and I understand it deserves a level of respect. But you are promoting the idea of being small minded and wanting restriction of speech especially one of the most powerful forms: Humor.
