Ingleby' is ideally situated for several walks around the 'dale. A selection are available as PDF downloads here and printed versions are provided during your stay:. This pleasant walk to the north-west of Allendale Town takes in pastureland, woodland and the riverside. A shorter version goes through the hamlet of Thornley Gate before returning via the river. This is a scenic walk through fields and wooded areas and over the footbridge at Peckriding. There is an option to take a short cut, otherwise.
