Lydia Crook: September 2010
http://lydiacrook.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
Wednesday, 8 September 2010. A little note to say. MY WEBSITE HAS LANDED. Lydia Crook - Paper engineer Artist. An apple a day. Here is one of my new designs I'm exhibiting in the artwave festival. It's based on the poem about apples! An apple a day keeps the doctor away. Apple in the morning - Doctor's warning. Roast apple at night - starves the doctor outright. Eat an apple going to bed - knock the doctor on the head. Three each day, seven days a week - ruddy apple, ruddy cheek. Kind about my work.

Thursday, 9 June 2011. The lovely ladies at Dimity Interiors asked me back to exhibited at the Round House, Firle, for the duration of the Brighton's Open Houses art festival (during May). Once again it was a lovely show in a lovely location with lovely artwork to be seen. I got to exhibit some of my new cuttings - which can now be seen on my website. There seems to be a bit of a love theme going on. My particular favorite is 'Peas and Carrots'. See above! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom).

Wednesday, 5 May 2010. Tick, tock, tick, tock . Hmmmm . It seems a theme is starting to develop on my subject matter. My new creation (pictured above) is based on yet another old nursery rhyme;. Hickory dickory dock,. The mouse ran up the clock,. The clock struck one,. The mouse ran down,. My favorite part is the mouse. He's the same colour as my rabbit! He also has tiny feet. Got a favorite nursery rhyme? Let me know and it might turn into my next cutting creation). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).
