A place to celebrate poetry, poets, and the creative spirit. Tuesday, July 04, 2006. Update on Circadian Poems. Thanks to everyone for their patience and fortitude with the problems surrounding. In addition to dealing with a family crisis over the past few months, there has been a problem with the host for the mail account for this site. I’d always planned that. The site will resume publishing again on Wednesday, September 5, 2006. New poems will publish on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Artic...Short...

Circadian Poems: December 2005
http://circadianpoems.blogspot.com/2005_12_01_archive.html
A place to celebrate poetry, poets, and the creative spirit. Monday, December 19, 2005. A Selection of Yuletide Poems. On the longest night. A glimmer of light. On the darkest scope. A glimmer of hope. Over a merry feast. A glimmer of peace. Up all night playing Santa’s. There are reindeer prints in the snow! Rudolph got tired of waiting on the roof. Cause Santa put so much under the tree! Little feet make big noise. Running down the stairs. We hear the squeals of delight. As they see the bounty. Wishes ...

Warped Galaxies: On Boston
http://pksblog.pktaylor.com/2013/04/on-boston.html
Wednesday, April 17, 2013. Address the collective scapegoating and potential backlash that may affect them. This is a sad way for our country to treat people. I doubt it. Will the pundits who have been raving about the Muslim threat admit they rushed to judgement. I doubt that too. How sad that a sad day in American history is made so much worse by our own actions. Warped Galaxies: March 2006
http://pksblog.pktaylor.com/2006_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 31, 2006. On the road again. Tomorrow we're headed out to Florida for a week to visit with my in-laws. I'm looking forward to warm temps, the Atlantic, and tiny lizards. Found out I didn't make the cut for Fiddler on the Roof. Honestly, I'm not surprised, given how the singing went. Last night at about midnight, the carbon monoxide alarm went off. Looks like we'll need a new furnace. Joy. And, last but not least, even if it's a bit late, thank God for the release of Jill Caroll! It never go...

Warped Galaxies: August 2006
http://pksblog.pktaylor.com/2006_08_01_archive.html
Thursday, August 31, 2006. A poem inspired by some recent conversations on the Islamic Writers Alliance list about airing dirty laundry, and the pressures to and not to talk about problems within the Muslim community. By Pamela K. Taylor. To find the laundry. You have to enter the house. A couple simple phrases. And the door swings open. You don’t even have to say. You can do it in your native tongue. If you can’t manage. But once you get past the door. There are lots of rooms. And lots of doors. It had ...

The World of Cassandra Oleander. Monday, October 31, 2005. Away Far Too Long! I've ignored the blog for far too long, but today I HAD to write something. Not only is it Samhain (Halloween), my favorite holiday, but my poem "Samhain Party" was published by Circadian Poems. Now, to put the finishing touches on the costume for the big bash tonight. Posted by Cassandrea Oleander @ 8:05 AM. Tuesday, October 04, 2005. Obviously Colin Galbraith, who wrote the article, did. Posted by Cassandrea Oleander @ 9:58 PM.

Askew: September 2005

The World of Cassandra Oleander. Monday, September 26, 2005. I love the rain. I love the silky soft feel of a gentle rain. I love a violent thunderstorm with lighening soaring across the sky and enormously loud cracks of thunder. I mean no disrespect to those who've suffered in the two recent hurricanes. I am NOT fond of hurricanes. But a good storm - cleans the senses, cleans the mind. It makes me feel as though the tensions of the days and weeks have washed away.
