Mikey HATES Everything!: In the News: Ajisen Ramen Comes to Century City Mall
http://mikeyhateseverything.blogspot.com/2009/09/in-news-ajisen-ramen-comes-to-century.html
Saturday, September 05, 2009. In the News: Ajisen Ramen Comes to Century City Mall. I just spotted this 'Under Construction' wall at Century City's Westfield mall this past week. Hit or fail? Wow, I saw this tonight. It just seems bizarre ramen has gotten popular enough to open shop in a fancy schmancy mall. As long as they dont start charging $12 a bowl (glares at California Ramen) its fine with me. We want a new post! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Subscribe in a reader.

Mikey HATES Everything!: A Load of Vegetables
http://mikeyhateseverything.blogspot.com/2009/07/load-of-vegetables.html
Sunday, July 05, 2009. A Load of Vegetables. Here's a way to support local farmers and get a box full of vegetables for only $15. Just go to this site. To pay, then select a location close to you to pick up your box. Depending on what's coming out from the ground there's different items each week. My box included:. Long Neck Yellow Squash. My personal challenge for this week is to cook each vegetable however it tastes best. Though if I get lazy I'll probably just make vegetable soup. =P. Super Udon (Sout...

Mikey HATES Everything!: 26 Beach Cafe @ Venice
http://mikeyhateseverything.blogspot.com/2007/01/26-beach-cafe-venice.html
Sunday, January 07, 2007. 26 Beach Cafe @ Venice. Okay, yeah, so this might not seem like the best follow-up to a public vow toward healthier eating. But I at least deserve Brownie points for choosing salmon over beef, right? The night before I had In 'N Out (Okay, yes, I'm eating junk) so I wasn't ready for another burger. But don't you hate it when you're at odds with yourself between the turkey burger and that extra saucy afterall-you-only-live-once. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Mitsuwa Market ...

Mikey HATES Everything!: Bluebird Cafe @ Culver City
http://mikeyhateseverything.blogspot.com/2007/01/bluebird-cafe-culver-city.html
Wednesday, January 17, 2007. Bluebird Cafe @ Culver City. Has been these past few days you'd think hell is next to freeze over. Snow in Malibu? As I type this, my right hand turns stone cold and my feet grow numb. As I exhale a puff of white breath I dream of the next time I can wrap my fingers around a hot cup of minestrone soup like what you see above, something I found at Bluebird Cafe. Who'd otherwise stake out the place for young Hollywood celebrities. Lucky for me, Monday was an office holiday.

Mikey HATES Everything!: Craft (Century City)
http://mikeyhateseverything.blogspot.com/2008/05/craft-century-city.html
Tuesday, June 03, 2008. It's all about showmanship here at Craft. That's what happens when most of your customers are Hollywood power agents. So in lieu of chips and salsa, the amuse-bouche of the day was a sliver of cured fish with a pinch of garnish. It was placed on a fancy spoon that literally bent over backwards for me. Sadly, I had no clue how to eat it. I needed a bowl of rice. What brought Mikey and I here was a story on honey desserts in the LA Times' Food Section. This photo. If there's anythin...

Mikey HATES Everything!: 8 oz. Burger (Melrose)
http://mikeyhateseverything.blogspot.com/2008/07/8-oz-burger-melrose.html
Monday, July 21, 2008. 8 oz Burger (Melrose). I've spent the past week eating that hearty miso soup I talked about earlier. It's my new diet of sorts. But with any tasty broth you're good for an hour until your stomach begs for more. "Meat! It screamed tonight. That's what led me and Mikey to 8 oz. Burger. Don't get me wrong, Armstrong has a good thing going here. As he envisioned,. The burger comes medium-rare, i.e., pretty darn red, so be sure to request that it be cooked longer if you're like ...In sp...

Mikey HATES Everything!: Japanese Candy
http://mikeyhateseverything.blogspot.com/2009/07/japanese-candy.html
Saturday, July 25, 2009. Double-click the photo for a description of all the snacks.). One of the best things about having family in Japan is that when I send them a gift, they'll send something in return. In this case, I sent them a pack of Trader Joe's lime and chili mixed nuts. Look at all the stuff I got! Now I feel bad so I'll probably send them something else in return. =P. Wow look at all that loot! Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). View my complete profile. Mikey HATES Everything!: French Market Cafe - Venice
http://mikeyhateseverything.blogspot.com/2006/11/french-market-cafe-venice.html
Wednesday, November 08, 2006. French Market Cafe - Venice. Okay, so what if the French don't eat this kinda stuff for breakfast? At the French Market Cafe. You get the best of both worlds. That is, French flavor with big American portions. And when I mean big portion, I only mean something that's bigger than a croissant. The cafe has a patio deck which by 10 am fills up with a lot of French-speaking people. (A good indicator of authenticity? I'm very impressed with their food so far, but I definitely nee...
