Egg-free Banana Cake with Chocolate Buttercream Frosting. 1 cup quick oats. 3/4 cup packed brown sugar. 2 teaspoons baking soda. 2 tablespoons baking powder. 5 ripe, mashed bananas. 1 teaspoons lemon peel. 1/2 cup vegetable oil. 1/3 cup orange juice. Preheat oven to 350. Spray two 8 inch pans with non-stick cooking spray. Bake for 35-45 minutes or until golden brown. Cool on a wire rack. 2 sticks unsalted butter, softened. 3 cups powdered sugar. 1 cup brown sugar.

Orzo Pasta with Lemon and Garlic Roasted Broccoli & Chickpeas. 1/2 pound orzo pasta. 15 ounce can garbanzo beans. 1 head broccoli, cut into small pieces. 1/2 to 3/4 cup toasted pine nuts. Pre-heat oven to 375 with rack in the middle. Prepare a baking sheet with parchment paper or silpat. Cook orzo, toss with olive oil and set aside. Wash chickpeas and dry with paper towel. Saturday, November 15, 2014. One of our favorite things about vacations are the sweet little surprises that always seem to happen. We've made it a "must do" to stop at the local visitor's center as we travel, especially if we are driving into a new state. It was the northern part of the badlands and looked completely different from the badlands in South Dakota. And there were buffalo galore! We did a lot of hiking and took a ton of photos!
