The good news is that for the summer of 2013, Easyjet will (at last) be running scheduled flights from Gatwick. To Kalamata. More details here. Alternatively, Thomas Cook. Offer chartered flights from Gatwick. A taxi from Kalamata airport to Kardamyli/Stoupa is about 60 euros and takes just over an hour. The taxi rank always has drivers waiting for fares. Thursday, 24 October 2013. Kambos Circular Walk Thursday 24th October. Today saw 9 of us and Jay the dog head off to Kambos. Another warm sunny day as we left Kambos for the village of Oravo. We visited the village church before heading down into the Koskarakas Gorge. Photo gallery / Facilities. The first turning into Stoupa arriving from Kardamyli brings you to Kalogria beach with its associations with Zorba the Greek. A deep beach of superb pale golden sand, backed by tamarisk trees, it can get very busy at weekends in summer with lots of volleyball and bat/ball enthusiasts.
