Forest Service changed its long-standing reservation system for 2012, so there’s no longer a lottery for many areas. Lottery applications began starting from 12:01 am CST on Dec. 19, 2011 to 11:59 pm CST on Jan. 19, 2012. The lottery will run on Jan. 20. Reservations for all other entry points can be made on a first-come, first-served basis starting. 9 am CST, on Jan. 25. Or call (877) 444-6777.

Speaking of cheaters, Pete Rose doesn’t have a plaque (keep it that way) but pictures of him exist in displays of the Big Red Machine of the '70s and Phillies teams from the early '80s.
