Monday, November 16, 2009. Ella took swimming lessons at the YMCA this summer and generally spent a lot of time in the pool. She is capable of swimming alone, but doesn't realize it yet. She is 4 1/2 now, but she's as tall as a 6 year old, so we get a lot of double takes (why isn't she at school? She is in her 3rd year of Mother's Day Out at a local church and she loves it! The only downside is that it is only 2 days/wk, so Kindergarten will be a shock. First Day of School. With her Little People Toys.

Saturday, September 25, 2010. Naomi's first day of school! Naomi started Mother's Day Out 2 weeks ago. We are so happy that she has the same teacher Ella had at age 2. On her first day, Naomi was excited to wear her backpack and did just fine when I dropped her off. However, she cried most of the day! Once we were home and she finished her nap, I realized she had a fever! Thankfully, her next school day was much better. Here are some pictures before we headed off on her first day. Tuesday, August 24, 2010. Today is Ella's first day of Kindergarten! We have certainly sent her off before - she started daycare full time at 9 weeks old (! And more recently attended Mother's Day Out 2 days per week. Nevertheless, it is a big milestone for all of us! I just dropped Ella off and Naomi is not up yet. I wonder what she is going to think of Ella being gone most of the day? Sitting at "her" desk. Talking with her teacher. Outside the school Friday night. Our traditional first day poses.
