A Servant Life: Transition
http://rwhartonsuccess.blogspot.com/2013/08/transition.html
Saturday, August 17, 2013. I didn't do a great job of keeping this updated this summer. Time runs away from you when you're having fun and resting in the fact that you know you're in the right place at the right time. So, I want to take a minute to tell you how God used me this summer and how He is working in me now. This summer, I was blessed to work with two other interns for an organization called Praying Pelican Missions. Caroline writes about transition on this site. Driving is a culture in and of i...

Thoughts and Updates on The Hughes Family. Monday, March 11, 2013. Spring Break and HE Goes Before Us! It is 7AM and pitch black outside. Ah, spring forward! Here's a picture of the mulch mound. Fortunately, mulch is weigh (get it? Lighter than soil, something I moved one wheel barrow at a time 5 years ago. As it turns out, I did get the job at the local UMS school, which I can now share is Fortis Academy. And man we have been getting help lately! I cannot show my gratitude enough to these giving people ...

Thoughts and Updates on The Hughes Family. Monday, January 28, 2013. Http:/ www.signupgenius.com/go/10C0848AEA92CAB9-helping. Here is a signup list for those interested in helping us paint and sale off some thing. This is Joshua checking in. It's been awhile, and apparently I am no longer an official "writer" for the blog. I think user error is to blame as I inadvertantly deleted myself and can not figure out how to be added in. Ah well, on to the important stuff. I'll sort it some time. This is why we go.

Thoughts and Updates on The Hughes Family. Monday, April 1, 2013. Camping and Field Trips and Rockets and Haiti Update! Isn't that a great picture! This is at Storms in Burnet on our way to a camping trip over Spring Break. We went with some friends of ours and had a great time, although there were a few times we thought we might blow away. Camping in 30 mph winds was a new one to us! And last but certainly not least, the latest on our Haiti preparations! We are now at 52% of our goal! It has been such a...

Hughes Family Happenings: August 2010

Thoughts and Updates on The Hughes Family. Sunday, August 22, 2010. End of Summer and the Start of Much. This summer has been pretty eventful for us. Thankfully we were able to escape the July heat for a week and take a trip to Colorado. We stopped on the way in Canyon, TX at Palo Duro Canyon. It was very hot, but breathtakingly beautiful. The pictures really don't do it justice. This is one of my favorites. Also this one. It was taken by mistake, but turned out beautiful. He is "all boy" with a love for...

Thoughts and Updates on The Hughes Family. Thursday, June 13, 2013. 1 Week and Counting. Well we are 1 week 2hours and some change away from this little trip that has become a reality these last few months. People keep asking how I am feeling. "Are you excited, nervous, stressed, ready,? The answer is well, - Yes! And family/friend time and watched the Spurs totally run over the Heat! I shouldn't be as together as I am right now, so someone MUST be praying for us! I have felt similarly when taking care o...

Thoughts and Updates on The Hughes Family. Monday, May 27, 2013. That's the weird thing, the closer you walk with Him, the more you need Him, or maybe it's the more of Him you want. This song was on the radio recently and has played through my head more than a few times the past couple weeks. Http:/ www.youtube.com/watch? The boys are official pelicans. They've got the shirt now! Have you seen the fundraising thermometer? Yep, that's 79% of our goal and that is AWESOME! Join us in praying for:. God's bus...

Thoughts and Updates on The Hughes Family. Monday, April 26, 2010. This is Caleb at his first soccer practice. He really seems to like it and seems to have a nack. For it. He has played 3 games thus far, all of which I am pretty sure they lost, but he is quite the little defense player! He is the first one to run down to protect the goal. This is a funny shot of Ben that I got. He was sitting in front of me at soccer practice. He loves having his picture taken which makes it even better. The Global Missi...

Hughes Family Happenings: November 2008
http://hughesfamilyhappenings.blogspot.com/2008_11_01_archive.html
Thoughts and Updates on The Hughes Family. Sunday, November 16, 2008. Camping Trip Fall 2008. This was a big deal for our family. It was both Caleb and Benjamin's first camping trip, and only mine and Veronica's second in our marriage. It was a great time, and I quickly remembered how much I enjoy such things. That is all I did in Scouting. camping, hiking, canoing etc. Hopefully we will get out more on family camp outs. I think it's his shoe? A couple of lumber jacks. Quality, but sideways picture.
