In the wilderness with todd. Monday, November 29, 2010. Barbados - Scuba Diving - Carlisle Bay Marine Park. Eillion, Bajon Queen, Ce-Treck, Cornwallis, and the Berwyn. The only open slot for diving was at 2pm, that being said the visibility was good but not great. I was under for about 35 minutes exploring the wrecks. I would say the highlight was seeing a bright green moray eel and a sea horse. I also enjoyed swimming through the wrecks themselves. Air pocket on the Eillion Wreck. Map of the the wrecks.

In the wilderness with todd. Tuesday, March 29, 2011. OK, I guess we'll start from here. Cary cutting out a block for an avy test. Slow down Cary it's a 25 mph zone up ahead! Snow wheels are awesome. The walk back to the truck. Props to Cary for getting a picture of me on my feet! The road had not been cleared/plowed. Last week a storm dumped about 5 feet of snow on the area and the snow plow only cleared Hwy 2 up to Waterman ski area, which is 3 miles from Snowcrest. 15 hours walk/skin to Snowcrest.

In the wilderness with todd. Monday, February 14, 2011. El Porto Beach - Mel Surfing! Mel rocking her 7'4' fun board and her new wetsuit. Yesterday Melis and I went to a surf-shop to buy her a wetsuit. Yup, that's right, Mel is going to start surfing! While we were there we also found a 7'4' fun-board that was being sold on consignment. Since the price was right, we decided to get it. Sunday, January 2, 2011. My mom is awesome. The photo above was taken at the summit of South Mountain, near my parents' place in Utah. At the time it was taken, it was about 15 degrees (Fahrenheit) outside, and a cold wind was howling around. We'd just finished climbing nearly 1700 vertical feet over two miles, in the snow. Thursday, December 29, 2011. Visited the new Natural History Museum of Utah. This afternoon, and found some interesting creatures. This is an absolutely horrifying bison. I felt much less threatened by this Saber-Toothed Cat. Here's kitty, along with a mammoth in the background, and my favorite.a short-faced bear. Check out the sweet five-toed paws! They have protective bones all over their back. I'm thinking prehistoric life was tough. Here's a nice exhibit with a modern kitty cat. My Own 100 Hikes.

Monday, February 1, 2010. Track and Field Saved My Life. The words on this sign could not be more true. This weekend I was charged, chased, and very nearly killed by a wild buffalo. If I wasn't considerably faster than the average guy, and/or didn't have a 40 yard head start, I was a goner. Seriously. This is no joke. Thank you, track and field. Like the time I climbed out on this 3000' cliff in Hawai`i for a picture. Or the time I jumped. Out to this ledge over the Grand Canyon, again for a picture.
