in the workshop: January 2015

http://intheworkshop.blogspot.com/2015_01_01_archive.html

Sunday, January 25, 2015. New messages from our friends the clams. Ok, the last one does not really speak english, it's a word to word translation of the french for holy cow! Links to this post. Tuesday, January 20, 2015. A new work, etching again but this time acid-etching on zinc. It's a sentence from the play Morts Sans sépulture. But I find the result good, the texture and the look of the plate responds to the text and the spacing between the lines is not a problem either. Links to this post. So as t...

in the workshop: November 2014

http://intheworkshop.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html

Sunday, November 30, 2014. Xmas is approaching fast. As I had some time last weekend, I did this. Little work, filigrees based on circle shapes, each circle being different. It's not unintersting but it could do with a little more mork. If I have some time before the end of the year (I don't think so), I 'll do another version. Links to this post. Tuesday, November 25, 2014. Work in progress. Little by little, my latest work is coming to its end. Links to this post. Friday, November 21, 2014. My workshop...

in the workshop: DIY

http://intheworkshop.blogspot.com/2015/05/diy.html

Wednesday, May 27, 2015. I had a few easels, wooden and small ones. They didn't stay right, were fragile, kind of bulls* t. As I had an exhibition coming fast, I decided that I needed something more resistant so . here is the result :. It doesn't resemble to anything but it's not a problem. 80cm of electric wire, carefully bent and here I am, perfectly stable, solid and almost invisible easels. The only problem may be the color but I had some red wire and no time to go and buy some other.

in the workshop: August 2014

http://intheworkshop.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html

Sunday, August 31, 2014. After quite a long time under the rain, followed by a scraping, more rain and a final sanding, I still can't get the expected result from the plate I already told you about here. It's not bad, it's just that I was waiting for something else. I think it will go back to rust in the garden :-). Links to this post. Sunday, August 24, 2014. I've just finished two little brooches (approx. 2.5cm in diameter) and failed the etching of one of them :-/. Links to this post. I used a semi un...

in the workshop

Wednesday, March 28, 2018. Right now, I'm having trouble finding inspiration or rather, I don't like any of the work I'm starting and I'm throwing hours of work in the trash. It's not the first time this has happened to me and I think we all go through this kind of period. While waiting for inspiration to come back, I do filigrees, at least I'm pretty sure I'll do something not too bad. Small initials with walnut stain and iron gall ink. Links to this post.
