In the write mind.: January 2011
http://inthewritemind.blogspot.com/2011_01_01_archive.html
In the write mind. Friday, 28 January 2011. You enchant me with melodic Escher staircases,. Scintillating all the way up my spine into my brain. I walk around in bewilderment so that again I have to tie my shoe laces. Brilliant and powerful and passionate, perfect is the harmony train. Where the notes play a strange kind of algebra;. The rich tonality echoes like a rainbow in my mind,. Displacing even the darkest of shadow in the mind’s umbra,. Where music, poetry and mathematics are intertwined. I was t...
In the write mind.: Respect
http://inthewritemind.blogspot.com/2011/03/respect.html
In the write mind. Sunday, 6 March 2011. Have no fear when thine spear is near,. But be gracious and sincere,. Heart to heart, eye to eye, and ear to ear,. And never veer to the rear. Be a warrior on the frontier,. Defend what is dear, and confront here,. Turning only when all is clear,. Shake hands in triumph and cheer. 6 March 2011 at 08:59. Brave, direct and to the point. I like it! 6 March 2011 at 10:42. A lovely and uplifting poem. Respect indeed. 13 March 2011 at 08:09. 16 April 2011 at 00:35.
In the write mind.: A star for you
http://inthewritemind.blogspot.com/2011/02/star-for-you.html
In the write mind. Wednesday, 23 February 2011. A star for you. Our feet sinking softly on the white sands,. Of the peninsula's carbonate shore,. Our loving clasping hands,. We all of each other so adore. Walking on land that the Miocene Epoch brought,. Where rock is ground offshore, onshore and alongshore,. For each other we are fraught,. With gems of heart and mind, loving to explore more and more. The ocean tide gently rippling o'er our feet,. And Helios gently kissing our skin aglow,. Beautiful, roma...
In the write mind.: Ten things I love about Germany
http://inthewritemind.blogspot.com/2010/12/ten-things-i-love-about-germany.html
In the write mind. Friday, 10 December 2010. Ten things I love about Germany. I had the great privilege to get to know a very sincere and dynamic German woman by the name of Christine Hartmann. A golden opportunity arose, where as a South African I could write about what I love about Germany. This article is featured on her website, which she created as a networking platform to promote women entrepreneurs and professionals. I invite you to Frauenmesse.com. 10 December 2010 at 04:16. 22 May 2011 at 04:20.

Sorry, but you are looking for something that isn't here. Previously, on Something About England…. I have a note I made, in my oh-so-retro way, in a notebook. Sophie's Words: July 2011
http://sophies-words.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Monday, 25 July 2011. Dulce domum: the joys (and perils) of working from home. My husband and I run our own business from home. He is a photographer, specialising in landscapes and architecture, and together we work on ideas for ways of making a living - organising exhibitions, running workshops, and selling prints and greetings cards. This is his website. We like the life we have and wouldn't swap it, even though it can sometimes be a struggle. So, what are its advantages? Cash-flow for one. The work.

General Election: From Poetry To Prose. I was reading Cendrars this morning, on the tube, like you do. So yes: I loved the poem Cendrars left me to read fifty-four years after his death but I’m still wondering what a ‘trellised bandstand’ is (‘un kiosque en treillage’) and whether the magic roundabout of my childhood was trellised or not and, if it was, whether that was a good thing nd if ‘bandstand’ is the correct translation for ‘kiosque’ anyway. Thoughts On ‘The Story Of The Jam: About The Young Idea’. Paul Weller: completely unlike me. There’s a fabulous moment about 25 seconds into this post-Jam (but desperately/knowingly-nostalgic-already) Style Council video, filmed at Woking Football Club. Watch him leap off the scooter and notice the car shake:. Https:/ www.youtube.com/watch? He’s human. Uncomfortable. A bit crap. It’s one of my favourite Weller things, that moment. Wonderful. And, oddly, not in this film. La Chanson Des Vieux Amants.

A Principle of Writing. The best writing is re-writing E.B. White. Writers, Don’t You Get Sick of Listening to Advice? Browsing through a Linked In writing group this morning, I noticed a writer grumbling about the many advice forum notices and posts she received in her inbox. It took far too much time to read them all she complained. She wanted to know how much time other writers spent reading these tips? Tales from the Writing Front. My journey through the world of writing and everything that lies in between…. July 13, 2012. So, it’s been over three months and nothing much to note. My son turned one on June 11. But other than that, not much else to report. Anyway, I figured I’d break the blog silence by doing a weekly happening type thing. As the title suggest, it’s a hodgepodge of random things in my life this week. But two centuries later. If anything, it’s helping to get more world building done.
The Write Place

Yes, next month I will have to make a project out of kid-proofing. Todd turned 28, we went on vacation, Todd's hours were cut, and I got a haircut. I'm trying to think of anything else, but not too many earth-shaking things have happened. So now I will bombard you with fun photos. Four generations of great girls! Out for the count!
