Here, we are expected to experience North wind 55 to 75 mph, with gusts as high as 95 mph. I have opened the door and all I can say is the wind is strong! Time to pray for Galveston and all the areas along the ship channel. I'll post more tomorrow. We are safe. Doing well. Hunkered down as they are saying. :P. Links to this post.

Monday, August 27, 2012. First Day of School. Plumb sings a song that expresses my feelings perfectly. The first time I heard it was not long after Emma was born and it has been one of my favorites ever since. I think I have listened to it at least 4 times today. Who wouldn't want to always keep their children close and protect them from all the bad things in the world? So full of wonder. And as i watch. You start to grow up. All I can do is hold you tight. Knowing clouds will rage in. Storms will race in.

Tuesday, September 27, 2011. A second later, Emma smiles, looks at her dad, and says "I smack you! So now I am apologizing to Matt and Emma saying that wasn't a nice thing for me to say and that we shouldn't ever say that to anyone. The fact that I am having to bite me toungue to keep from laughing isn't helping things at all.
