News and notes from the dark side of the womb.". Sunday, April 27, 2014. This Spring Break we hit the open road south to Santa Barbara, then onto Palm Springs and then back. Lots of pool time and adventures make for happy kids (and parents and grandparents)! Early dismissal from school and we're off! We got to meet a 3 day old foal at a friend's house - the mother sneezed right in their faces! Decorating cupcakes they made with Nana! Having a blast in the bath. And in the outdoor misters. This is the life.

With much anticipation, the class lists were posted yesterday and we discovered that many of Anna's good friends would be with her in the same class with a great new teacher, Miss Tormey. Well, we weren't at home much during the month of July but the time we did spend here was spent primarily at the golf course or the swimming pool. These kids have it ROUGH! Aside from our big trips to Santa Barbara, Boston and New York we managed to have a fun time here at home too! Earning stickers at swim lessons. Saying goodbye to teachers on the last day of school. Hanging out with friends at the park. Field Day at School. Watching construction when visiting Nana and Papa. Fairyland (a local small amusement park) with friends. Hayden, Andrew and Brady. Any walk we took had to include several detours to go past particularly good house decorations. The kids carved and decorated their pumpkins earlier this week:. Here is Henry's finished product:. Thursday, August 13, 2015. Can I just say.whoa. I feel like I got HUGE this week! Baby is about 3 pounds and is the size of a butternut squash. I just got a couple great pairs of maternity jeans this past week and I can't WAIT to wear them! The average temperature for August is 94, but then the average temperature in September drops all the way down to 89 so.it'll be jeans weather any day now, really.
