About | fit for life at forty
https://fitforlifeatforty.wordpress.com/about
Fit for life at forty. My blog describing my journey to sobriety and rediscovering me. I’m 39 years old and have just come to the realisation that I’m an alcoholic. It’s taken me to hit rock bottom to realise this, I’ve lost my job, my home, my self respect. This blog is to narrate my journey back to sobriety I’ll be including all the things that help me (and perhaps some things that don’t). I will come back and update the about me section as I gradually start to rediscover myself. Enter your comment here.

Fit for life at forty. My blog describing my journey to sobriety and rediscovering me. July 10, 2012. Well still here and still sober. So step 1 stay sober, step 2 start applying for jobs, step 3 start looking at ways I can improve my skills to make me more employable – I think that’s probably enough for the time being. Small achievable goals. July 7, 2012. Starting to feel more alive. What Allen Carr suggests is there is no such thing as a normal drinker, we have all bought into this illusion, we have a...

Fit for life at forty. My blog describing my journey to sobriety and rediscovering me. July 22, 2012. I must have some fight left in me because whilst reading these websites I actually thought “it’s the alcohol thats making me feel like this” and that made me look at things a little more rationally, if the alcohol can make me feel so low that I think the world would be better off without me and turns me into a nasty hateful person what am I doing still drinking it? What benefit do I get from it? I really...
