Benin by Boat (21st - 25th November). On Wednesday morning my mum wasn't feeling very well so we took her to the hospital to get a check up and a malaria test. The doctor was very professional so we were reassured by her diagnosis of Lagos-tummy. A hut on the bank marked the border with flags from the two countries (easily missed).

Sunday, July 22, 2007. 20th July 2007 - IOM and Ireland. Funnily enough, when the doctor saw Daniel she said that she had a case of malaria early that day. As it happened it wasn't malaria but tonsillitis but they wanted him to spend the night in hospital. That meant that Daniel and I had to share a bed in the children's ward.
