I Are Cyclist Now? My (hopefully somewhat interesting) cycling adventures. Back in the saddle! Well, soon anyway…. I have not done any serious riding since my road bike died a while back. But, I have finally purchased a new bike from a bike shop (no more big box bikes) and will be back in the saddle when I pick it up tomorrow. I’m excited, and the bike is a beautiful machine. I Are Cyclist Now? My (hopefully somewhat interesting) cycling adventures. I’m still here. Haven’t posted in WAY too long. But – went for a nice 25 mile ride today in the perfect weather. Not a sprint or anything – just a leisurely ride. I averaged around 14mph the whole way which is a comfortable speed for me. I am a bit out of shape though! No Responses to “I’m still here”. I Are Cyclist Now? My (hopefully somewhat interesting) cycling adventures. Got bike, will ride. I picked up my new Trek 7.3 FX today at the bike shop and rode it home. I only live a mile from the shop so it was a nice leisurely ride. After getting it home, I installed my Sigma cyclocomputer and went off for a short spin around town to see how the new machine handles. The 32mm Bontrager race lite tires are great. I Are Cyclist Now? My (hopefully somewhat interesting) cycling adventures. 2341 Miles, 13.49mph average speed, 23.59 top speed. Went for a ride on the Summerset Trail today – from Indianola, IA to Carlisle, IA and back. Stopped in Carlisle at Fiss’ which is this nice little privately owned (non-chain) sandwich and ice cream place. Had a grilled chicken sub which was DELICIOUS, and a small ice cream cone.
