Materials Science and Engineering. Rutgers University Specialty Fiber Optics is collaborating with Opto Knowledge Systems, Inc. (OKSI). On several hollow waveguide projects including remote delivery of high energy pulsed beams for CARS, waveguide bundles for IR imaging, and single-mode fibers for LWIR spectroscopy applications. As a result of the latter project, OKSI now offers a line of packaged hollow fibers. Designed to be used with Quantum Cascade Lasers (QCL) and other mid-IR sources.
