I am an artist who creates bottle trees and other whimsical yard art in the Hillsborough, North Carolina area. Using a blend of traditional blacksmithing and modern welding techniques I create bottle trees that have a variety of natural and organic shapes. My bottle trees are made of cold rolled steel, not rebar, so they hold up longer and have a less recycled look. My other sculptures typically use recycled or found objects to create eye catching and fun designs.

Craftiness is a trait that has always run through my family. From the early days carving sticks with my grandfather's pocket-knife, to my new-found love for working with metals I've always loved creating new things out of stuff that I've found. Whether it's something I pick up and recycle or something that Mother Nature has grown for me to use, I find inspiration in the most random of places.

Copper Trees

These are basically bonsai trees that you don't have to water. I use rocks or pieces of driftwood and let the tree grow from there! Perfect to live on an office desk or an interior shelf that wouldn't provide enough light for a living tree.
