IRV STARR'S COCHLEAR IMPLANT JOURNEY. Thursday, September 29, 2005. I went to the Urology Dept. at Kaiser this AM, and they said all is OK. I am extremely happy about that. I asked the nurse again how it could happen, and she said it could have happened any time, but probably the anaestetic had a hand in it. IRV STARR'S COCHLEAR IMPLANT JOURNEY. Saturday, June 25, 2005. This afternoon I received a letter from Dr. Maw , the CI surgeon. It said my CAT Scan was normal (whatever that means). I suppose her review indicates that she will have no particular difficulty inserting the electrode string into my cochlear unless there is something the scan did not show.
