Beginning with the first meeting of the International Society of Anglo-Saxonists (ISAS) in August 1983, biennial conferences have been held in Belgium (Brussels and Ghent). Please click on the links above for detailed descriptions of each conference. ISAS 2017 will be organised by Karen Jolly at the University of Hawaii. From 31 July to 4 August 2017, on the theme of "Global Perspectives and Comparative Approaches to Anglo-Saxon Studies," with a particular focus on indigeneity and postcolonial approaches.
